We are proud to announce that Seemie! has officially joined the ranks of Blinkx Media Partners. As some of you may already know, Blinkx is one of the major video search engines currently around. Blinkx was founded in 2004 by Suranga Chandratillake and successfully completed an IPO on the London Stock Exchange just 3 years after its debut.

Blinkx pioneered video search on the Internet and has built great reputation boosting an index of over 18 million hours of searchable video and more than 200 media partnerships including national broadcasters and private video libraries alike.

What's in it for Seemie!, you may be wondering? Well, first of all, by getting approved by Blinkx and becoming one of their media partners, we got to have our logo button among their other partners', further enhancing our brand image. We can proudly say to have "neighbors" such as BBC, Bloomberg, or CNN. Can we ask for more? This, of course, means we have passed their admission standards, which is not bad considering Seemie! is really a brand new site.

On the practical side of things, by becoming a Blinkx Media Partner, we are able to get our videos feeds indexed and updated on a daily basis. What's more, becoming a media partner also involves getting our own Blinkx Branded Channel, further enhancing our site branding and image.

It is worth noting that the Blinkx Search Engine powers several other search engines offering video search capabilities such as DogPile, WebFetch, Webcrawler, Metacrawler, and ChaCha, among several. This greatly increases our overall traffic.

Seemie! videos previews are generated and included in search results together with video titles, descriptions, duration, format, and indexation time. And of course, our logo image is included as well!!

We thank Blinkx once again for giving Seemie! this great opportunity of being part of their search engine partners. We are looking forward to becoming part of any other interesting project they may have in store in the near future.

After several months spent on developing the backbone of Seemie! and several other websites currently in our portfolio, we figured out the "system" was lacking quite a major feature: a Member Activity Profile page. Ok, we'll admit it: we were not that smart. Thing is many times you concentrate on developing more and more sophisticated features that you forget about the simple ones!

As soon as we realized we were missing this key feature, we put some coffe to brew on the stove and hit our keyboards. We were committed to creating one of the most appealing and feature-rich member profile add-on currently available. Results are pretty amazing. Yes, we are very proud of our little member profile page add-on. Just click on any member's orange link and you will be taken to his or her activity snapshot page in no time.

As you can see, key features are a complete list of all the Comments the member made on any media currently hosted at Seemie!, a nice member Details box contaning info such as join date, country, interests and occupation, and a Top Ratings box listing all member's media ratings up to date.

In addition, we have also include some more interesting member data, for all you stats junkies. Right below the Top Ratings box, we have a Top Categories area where we list the top 5 categories where that particular member rated the highest number of videos. Pretty neat huh? We took it a step further though. Further below we added a box listing the 5 most Recent Ratings with links to each respective video and 1-5 star ratings.

Can you ask for more?

As some of you may have noticed already, pretty cool flags started appearing in every video details box recently. That's right: videos are now categorized by country, in addition to genre and rating. We thought this would make a great and valuable addition to our website infrastructure, so we hit our videos database and started categorizing every media according to their country of origin.

Videos are categorized by country based on what we believe to be the best estimate. In order to better determine the most appropriate country classification, we use visual and audio cues as well as any other info which users are willing to share when submitting videos to our site. Of course, this soon proved to be a quite time-consuming task as it's not always clear in which country the video was actually shot.

We will pretty soon be adding country search capabilities so that our users will be able to get better targeted search results when querying our constantly growing media database.

We have been working very hard on several features during the last few months, among which is a pretty radical redesign of our home page. We have been pondering and trying out several design concepts which would appeal to our users' eye and came out with a couple of very interesting concepts.

As you may have noticed, one of this new features involves the addition of an oversized screen "Video of the Day" spot right in the center of our home page and where our daily videos list was rendered. the "Video of the Day" module will randomly load one of the 10 most recent daily videos and stand ready for you to play it, should you decide to do so.

The "Video of the Day" module serves a dual purpose then: it tremendously improves our home page overall look by giving users a useful tool to get a quick preview of our daily video selections and decreases our sitewide bounce rate by enticing users to click through and stay on the site even longer.

Seemie! is a new extreme entertainment website featuring the best extreme videos from all over the internet. Seemie! media is carefully chosen among hundreds of videos which are regularly submitted by our users. New videos are added daily to always satisfy our users' extreme entertainment needs.

Users are encouraged to submit their own media to Seemie!. We will do our best to publish your videos and add them to our constantly growing database of extreme entertainment media. Seemie! lets you watch, upload, rate, comment, search, and share original content and videos from all over the world. At Seemie! you can find shocking videos, accidents videos, funny videos, sexy videos, fights videos, cool videos, and bizarre videos.

Seemie! is currently in its beta stage. What does it mean you may ask? Well, to put it simply, it means that even though Seemie! is live and working, there are some features which are still in their testing phase. We apologize in advance if you should experience any errors and/or bugs and encourage anyone who may stumble upon one to let us know.

Seemie! will be an ongoing project as new features will be added regularly to further enhance your overall website interactive media experience. We would love to hear from you what you think about the website, as we will be taking all your comments and suggestions into consideration to further improve and update our website.
